Solar energy involves utilizing the energy from the sun and harnessing it through solar panels. One of the benefits is absolute reliability; the sun continues to rise each day, and even on cloudy days without bright sunshine some energy can be harnessed.
But the strength of the sun, and the energy stored, is dependent on the weather. Areas that have bad weather for several months out of the year will not produce the same kind of energy as a region that is sunny most of the time, making solar energy less useful in regions with variable weather.
